A KGS Masonry Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of a commercial concrete or masonry restoration project according to the project plans and specifications. Your duties will include coordinating subcontractors, KGS in house crews, performing quality control and safety checks, attending project meetings and providing on-site direction while mobilizing and performing projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage all aspects of commercial concrete and masonry restoration projects from start to finish to include but not limited to the following;
o Review and become familiar with project specifications, architectural drawings and shop drawings
o Develop and manage project safety plans to include ensuring that all required safety equipment is onsite and set up prior to the start of any work
o Perform and document progress, quality control and safety inspections
o Track and document all weather delays and report them to the client and project management team
o Track and document all unit cost work on a daily basis
o Prepare, maintain and distribute progress reports and two week look ahead schedule to client and KGS management team
o Attend all project meetings associated with the projects that are assigned to you
o Coordinate materials and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers
o Create schedules for workers and subcontractors
o Manage a team of workers, including work schedules, project progress and resource allocation
o Create cost estimates for labor, supplies, materials and other project costs
o Communicate with clients, Project Mangers, other KGS and client management to determine budget and timeline
o Maintain a daily log for the project’s operations, reporting to Project Manager as necessary
o Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines and profit margins
o Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient
